Wednesday’s child: Elizabeth Paul

Elizabeth Paul (d. 1841) has an elaborately carved marker in Baltimore‐Geohegan Cemetery.

In memory of
ELIZABETH
PAUL,
daughter of Jacob
and Nancy Paul,
died July 27, 1841,
aged 5 months, & 10 days
Death may the bonds of life unloose
But cant dissolve my love,
Millions of infant souls compose,
The family above.

The epitaph is from a hymn written by Samuel Stennett (b. 1727, d. 1795), a respected London minister.
